Bright Sparks

The group started nearly a year ago after a group of parents met through a parenting group. They decided they would like to meet weekly to have discussions and also learn new skills through arts and crafts.

The group successfully organised and ran a coffee morning last Christmas and raised funds for the group through their hard work and determination. These funds will enable the group to purchase further items for any future events they plan.

The group chose the name themselves and through discussion they decided that they are all bright and they also can have sparks flying in the group through different discussions which they have. Hence the name!

Lady Bugs

This group is for 5 - 7 year old children. They meet weekly in Grangetown Primary School after school. The group have been looking at different social skills through play, activity sheets, outings and also discussions.

The children chose the name of the group based on their uniform which is black and red; they felt they looked like ladybirds!
