The Spennymoor Settlement has been declared a listed building because of its unique qualities and importance to the history of Spennymoor.
A cleanup operation is taking place on the site removing overgrown planting which is making the theatre look derelict and encouraging vandalism to the building. New security procedures are in place to help keep the building safe and we ask anyone who sees any suspicious behaviour to report it to the police.
