Residents Association Meeting Parish Hall No meeting in December next one January 7th 2009.
PC Ollett’s surgery Wednesday 10th December 7pm –8pm, Parish Hall.
Additional skip Day.The village has got an additional skip day on January 6th 2008 for 24 hours on the village green. Perfect for getting rid of any old rubbish.
Thorpe Thewles History Group DVD.Following the launch of the DVD at the successful event held early in November. Each household in Thorpe is being presented with a copy of the DVD. If you haven’t claimed yours yet, your copy is awaiting and can be collected from 24 North Close.
Christmas Decoration Making – Wednesday 3rd December at 4:30pm Parish Hall.The Christmas tea party where children can make Christmas decorations will begin at 4:30pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments and crafts will be provided. Bring your own Scissors. Thanks to all those who have offered to volunteer.Remember children will have the opportunity to hang the decorations on Saturday 13th December at 10:30am. Please meet by the Christmas Tree for this event. Refreshments will be offered in the church afterwards.Decorate St James’There are plans to decorate the church after this event so anyone who wishes to stay on and help out is welcome. If there are others who wish to help out with decorating please feel free to come along around 11am.

3rd December : Children’s Christmas Tea Party
13th December: 10:30 Hang decorations on Tree.
13th December: 10:30 Decorate the Church for Christmas. All welcome.
13th December: 6:30 band night begins at the Christmas tree and continues at the Parish Hall.
14th December: 4pm Carol Service at St James’ Church, Thorpe Thewles.
15th December: 7:30 Billingham Synthonia Christmas Concert at the Parish Hall. (Tickets ran out last year so buy your ticket early from Phillipa to avoid disappointment.)
Family Event.Christmas Carols and Murton Brass Band playing at Parish Hall Saturday 13th December.This will start off at the village Christmas Tree at 6:30pm and move to the village Hall.This was a great success last year; in spite of the weather. Please join us. Refreshments available. There is no charge for this event, but villagers are welcome to make a donation.
Ho Ho Ho!Santa Claus in the Village Sunday 21st December.Santa has agreed to visit Thorpe Thewles on the morning of 21st December to hand out special presents to children who have been exceptionally good! He will be accompanied by one of his four legged furry friends.He has said he will collect any presents for this event before this date at the following addresses:Jo, 2 Vane Cottages.Su, 3 Manor Cottages.Lorraine, 3 Vine Cottage, Mill Terrace.Due to the popularity of hot beverages last year, mulled wine will be readily available, together with mince pies.
