Teesdale Opportunities For Disabled Youngsters
Delivering quality Activity Days - fun days out for the Youngsters of Teesdale.
When each of the School Holidays come around, we aim to run an Activity Day to give Parents a break and to widen the experiences of the Youngsters.
A wide range of trips are organised - Cinema, Theatre, Swimming, Bowling, Eating... and more recntly TODYS has successfully run residential, 2-night, Activity Breaks. We visited The Calvert Trust at Kielder in August 2008, and then The Lakes in February 2009.

Jack and the Beanstalk
 | On Tuesday 23rd December, TODYS went to the matinee performance of Jack and the Beanstalk at Darlington Civic Theatre.
The pantomime trip was Sponsored by THE ROTARY CLUB of BARNARD CASTLE; and they arranged for Rotary SANTA to deliver the panto tickets and greet the Youngsters as they met at Teesdale Sports Centre, just before setting off to the Pantomime. Santa also handed out selection boxes and arranged for ices and drinks at the Theatre.
The Youngsters were very excited to see him, and had their letters ready for him!!! |
