Preservation of Tradition

This is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass as it should be celebrated, as it has been celebrated in the Church for many centuries, and still is today by priests of the Society of St Pius X in fidelity to Catholic Tradition.

The traditional Latin (Tridentine) Mass is celebrated throughout the world by priests of the Society of St Pius X for all Catholics who, for reasons of faith, refuse to accept the New Mass and the disastrous reforms introduced as a result of the Second Vatican Council.

The Flame of Tradition is still burning!

More and more people are turning to Catholic Tradition as the only effective remedy for the post-Vatican II changes that have wrecked the Church.

Tradition in the North-East of England

In the North-East of England, the Tridentine Mass is celebrated at :

*St Mary's Centre Corporation Road, Middlesbrough every second Sunday of the month at 6 p.m.

*Holy Name of Jesus Church, Bewick Road, Gateshead, NE8 4DR every Sunday at 6 p.m.

*Further Masses at Gateshead and Redcar as announced
