HOW CAN YOU HELP?
 | TESCO SPORT FOR SCHOOLS VOUCHERS
Please save all your Tesco Sport for School vouchers for us, so that we can buy equipment for the Centre. Please hand them in to the office.
The Centre relies entirely on lesson fees, hire of the premises, donations and fundraising to keep operating. We need at least £250,000 a year to maintain the property, pay salaries and feed and house our horses and ponies. So we need your help desperately!
One way is to help us organise our fundraising events or you may want to organise your own event and obtain sponsorship. Please let us know and we will provide you with official sponsorship forms.
Do you know any businesses or organisations that would be keen to sponsor a pony for a year? £2000 would help to feed, stable and shoe one pony for a year.
Or how about advertising in the Arena? An advertising board measuring 2.5m x 1.5m only costs £275 a year - a snip compared to advertising in the press. At least 8,000 people would see the board in a year!
Check the website for details of events we've arranged for this year, that you could attend or help us with - we're always short of helpers!
PROJECTS FOR 2008
We are trying to find funding this year for the following:
HORSES. Some of our horses are now nearing retirement age and we will have to replace them. Cost can range from £2000 upwards.
THE DRIVE. You'll have noticed the potholes! The only permanent solution is to resurface at a cost of about £23,000!
WATER TO FIELDS. At the moment our staff and students carry water to the fields. This is time-consuming, hard work and wasteful. We would like to pipe water to the fields instead so that a constant supply is available for the horses.
BARN. Our hay/straw barn needs Yorkshire Boarding on the walls to replace the ripped tarpaulin. We can't afford our hay and straw to be weather damaged.
LAND ROVER. Our trusty Land Rover is now 15 years old and showing signs of wear and tear. We would like to purchase a long wheelbase version that holds more passengers for transporting riders, students and volunteers around the area and to events.
CORE COSTS. We are always seeking donations to help with the general running costs of the Unicorn Centre. It costs us about £250,000 a year to keep it open, so we need your help!
WE NEED HELP WITH FINDING THE MONEY FOR ALL THESE PROJECTS. OFFERS OF HELP, MATERIALS, TIME AND MONEY WILL BE GRATEFULLY RECEIVED.

ADOPT A UNICORN PONY!
 | Stuck for an idea for a Pressie?
Help raise funds for the Unicorn Centre by adopting one of our ponies for a small fee each month. In return your name will be displayed on the pony's stable door and you will receive a certificate of ownership, a special horseshoe and regular updates on your pony - and a birthday card from him!
Your contribution of £2 per month or £24 per year will help to feed and care for one of our horses or ponies.
Please call the Centre if you would like to become a Pony Parent.
