THE 'ARMS'
The Washington Arms Football Club was formed by Peter Playle for the start of the 1996/1997 season to provide an opportunity for former Barmston Village Youth Football Club players to move into senior local football. The first two seasons were spent in the Stanley & District Sunday League after which the club made a successful transition to the STEPY's COACHERS DURHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE joining Division Six for the start of the 1998/1999 season; the club is currently competing in Division One. |
HOME GROUND
 | The club plays its home games on the former Sunderland AFC training ground at the
Northumbria Centre,
Stephenson Road,
Stephenson Industrial Estate, Washington,
Tyne & Wear.

HOME BASE
The clubs home base is in the Washington Arms pub, Washington Village, Tyne & Wear, where both management and patrons alike provide magnificent support to fund the activities of the club. |
QUIZ NIGHTS
The football club runs a Monday Night Quiz to raise funds. With beer voucher prizes and free bar snacks all are welcome to enjoy a pleasant general knowledge quiz in the warm friendly atmosphere of the Arms pub in Washington Village. |
