The Witham Hall - Present

The Witham has completed more than two years under its new management structure and is at an exciting phase of its development. Located at the heart of the market town of Barnard Castle, The Witham Hall has a listed frontage, and covers 3,196 cubic metres. It consists of a number of different sized rooms, including main hall with sprung floor and stage, meeting rooms, art gallery, offices and other rooms. It is used on a regular basis by 33 different community groups, and is also the focus of several events in Barnard Castle throughout the year. The building houses a thriving community drama group (The Castle Players) and Youth Drama (The Turrets) as well as a daily Playgroup, dancing classes, aerobics, carpet bowls, whist, and badminton. A table top sale is held regularly and the Art Gallery (The Castle Gallery) is very popular with local artists as a central exhibition space.
