WOLSINGHAM PARISH PLAN

MINUTES OF A MEETING HELD 11TH MARCH 2004

Present: Chairman, Ken Rogers, Mrs. D. Gascoigne, Mrs. M. Shepheard
R. Hopkinson, Mrs. K. Rogers, K.W. Smith, Mrs. S Hunt
& G.Dobson, Cath. Purvis, ( Groundwork West Durham Rural Voices Co-ordinator)

Apologies: D.Pattison
Minutes of meetings held 19th February agreed as a true record.
The new abridged version of the questionnaire was presented to the meeting and all agreed it was good enough to go to print. R. Hopkinson had been given provisional costs for the printing from Linton’s and for 1500 the cost would be £150. It was agreed to have 100 larger print versions to be made available, from the library/town hall. A provisional test of the questionnaire had taken place with Parish Council members , main comment was it took to long to fill in.
Young persons questionnaire to be formulated by Cath Purvis, who would canvass the secondary school, youth club, guides and other youth organisations for items to be included in the questionnaire. Only residents of Wolsingham to be canvassed. Next meeting to be held 6th May to formalise the coffee morning event.
A coffee morning agreed for 8th May , free coffee to be available with a raffle prize. Notice of coffee morning to be placed in April Town Crier, Ken Rogers to make up posters.
The envelopes to be returned to the Town Hall, Paper Shop, Library.
The freepost envelopes had been applied for , cost £106 , £46 would go against the cost of postings.
G. Dobson to arrange purchase of 1200 envelopes for R. Hopkinson to overprint.
Next meeting May 6th , Thursday ,7.00 pm @ Mill Race
