Reporters

The Reporters project is an ongoing project for people of all ages who would like to learn skills to help them report on events in their community, their school or for Write to Read.

A number of successful initial training courses have already been offered to develop skills in planning, researching and writing reports.

Laptop computers, dictaphones and digital cameras were used by participants to help them to produce their reports.

The reporters have also done a web page training course with Communigate and have visited the Evening Gazette where they produced their own Front Page.

A full programme of training is being developed to offer the Write to Read reporters training in all aspects of reporting and some of our reporters are already helping to produce the Write to Read newsletter and to plan training and activities.

In 2003 a group of Write to Read reporters will also be looking after the Reporters Web Site which you can access from this page.
