A group of local residents and young people from West Middlesbrough are working together on a cross-generation environmental project called the 'Friends of Carter Park'.
The group are working to design plans for a piece of waste land which was the former blind school site on Stockton Road. Alongside the environmental project,the group attended workshops with a local film maker to produce a short five minute animated film.
As part of the project,youngsters and residents stayed overnight at a hotel in Darlingon. Staff from the YIP and Groundwork Middlesbrough worked with the group to meet the production date.
The completed film was shown at Teesside University last December and it continues to generate lots of interest from other community groups. |
