Winter Sleepover

We held a sleepover over the weekend of 22nd / 23rd November. This was with some of the older Beavers!

Saturday we started of by making spaceships, these are now flying in our headquarters

In the affternoon we had a visit by a astrominer with a mobile planetarium, this was very good.The Cubs learnt about the stars and the planets.
Later in the evening they were shown some slides about the first man on the moon.
They then fell asleep watching ET, then those that were still awake watched Star Wars Attack of the Clones.

Sunday
After a nice breakfast the Beavers went home.
The Cubs then concentrated on their Communicators badge.
They talked about communication then split into groups and made a report about something they did over the weekend.
Rikki then recorded them making the reports, like a news report. With very good results.

We then had a go at amitor radio in the affternoon, which was very interesting.

All in all a very packed weekend.
