Note: All Evening Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. at Abingdon School, Park Road, Abingdon. Park on right near entrance. Ingham Room is to rear of car park. Charles Maude room is in red-brick building at top of drive (limited parking near this building).
Wednesday 30th January (Ingham Room) British and Other European Orchids: An illustrated talk by Tony Hughes.
Sunday 10th February (Field Meeting at 9.45 am) North Moreton Flood Meadows Meet in The Bear at Home car park (SU562893) for a five mile circular walk. Since we are parking in the pub car park on a Sunday, the understanding is that we use the pub afterwards for at least a drink. Those that wish to book for lunch are advised to phone the Bear on well in advance. Wellies and binoculars recommended. Leader: Tony Rayner

Sunday 16th March (Field Meeting at 10:00 am) Meet in the car park (SU567924) south of Wittenham Clumps, for Birds and flora. A six mile circular walk. If wet the walk can be shortened. Leader: Tony Rayner
Wednesday 26th March (Charles Maude Room) "Life in a bottle "Practical aspects of working with DNA A very hands on talk by Joseph Trakalo which will explain in an understandable way the workings and impact of DNA on society.
WEDNESDAY 23rd APRIL - EXTRA FIELD MEETING. Meet at Farmoor Reservoir Car Park (GR: SP452061 - £2 fee) at 10 a.m. We will follow the Farmoor Country Walk path, which is in the vicinity of the reservoir and Pinkhill Nature Reserve, but outside of their boundaries. The walk will be through woodland, along the river and across fields - mainly flat. We will walk for about two hours before lunch and an hour and a half afterwards. Lunch will be at The Talbot. Wednesday 14th May (Field Meeting) 7.00pm Water Violets and other spring flora. Meet Barton Lane opposite Sophos Building, a walk of about 1.5 miles level walking. Leader: Dr Bob Eeles

Saturday 5th July Our annual BBQ will again be at Dry Sandford Pit. Please book with Secretary 7 days before if possible. Contributions of food and drink will be appreciated. A small charge will be made to cover costs. Starting 7 pm (SU 468998). NB if Saturday 5th is wet we will try to re-arrange on Sunday 6th.

Sunday 14th September (Field Meeting at 10.00am) A circular walk starting at Nettlebed (703868) Park outside the bottle kiln in Nettlebed – a walk of about 5 miles with some hills. Woodland flora and fauna. Leader: David Price
Wednesday 24th September (Ingham Room) Annual General Meeting. Please notify nominations for the committee and items for the agenda to the Chairman at least 14 days before the meeting. There will also be a short talk by Jacqueline Wright on Mosses and Liverworts The committee would welcome plants and produce for sale. Refreshments. Subscriptions are due!
