about us

1st Appleton Rainbow Guides.

Rainbows are the youngest section of the Guide Association. Their section is also the newest - set up in 1987 - and the fastest growing. They are aged 5-7 years old.
Rainbow Guides work together as a unit and in small activity groups. These groups will change frequently depending on the activities and interests of the programme.
The 1st Appleton Rainbow Guide unit opened in January 1994. We currently have one warrented leader called Angela (who is sometimes known as ‘Pluto’) and a unit helper called Doreen .
We meet for 1 hour each week..
Our favourite activities are: playing games and cooking, but we also enjoy making things.
We have made friends with ‘Rainbows’ from other units and other countries, including the Pippins, Gumnuts, Asterios, Daisy Scouts, Ladybirds, Hares, Bevers, Sunflowers, Twinklers, Dolphins and Sparks.
If you would like to exchange unit information with us, please E-Mail first and we will decide what to exchange.
Our leader is also interested in exchanging Scout and Guide badges from different places.
