YOBOS
YOBOS is the Youth of Banbury Operatic Society and is open to young people aged between 12 and 18. Since its inception in August 2003, which saw a spectacular production of Bugsy Malone, YOBOS has gone from strength to strength.
2004 saw the staging of Honk - a musical based on the story of the ugly duckling. In 2005 YOBOS staged Anything Goes.
2006 saw YOBOS take up the challenge of staging Barnum - and circus skills workshops, as well as voice, acting, make-up, and technical stage skills workshops during the summer months in the run-up to the show, which was directed by Richard Oliver.
YOBOS 2007 production was Fame, which played to full and enthusiastic audiences for two performances. Three members of Fame are appearing in the next BOS production - Thoroughly Modern Millie - and we are delighted that they have come to join us.
