CARTERTON 1 - 0 HIGHWORTH TOWN

In awful conditions Carterton overcame a strong Highworth side by a single goal coming from Lewis early in the second half.
Although somewhat dubious in it's execution (most of the players from both sides seemed to think it was handball) it proved to be enough to split the teams after 90 minutes.
The result continues a poor run of form for Highworth and although the result did not lift Carterton up the table it is another game in hand won.
With crucial games coming up in the league against Brackley and Supermarine wins in these fixtures should see Carterton move ever closer to the top of the table.
It was good to see that Supermarine have everything in place to progress into the Southern League and I wish them well, if , as expected they emerge triumphant from the Hellenic Premier.
