Christmas Lights in Headington
Well we did it!!
With the super human effort of a member of the HBA who footslogged and knocked on business doors we for the first time in Headington's history found the shopping area dressed with a number of 'Snow Flake' lights on the street lamposts, also a Christmas tree with lights was positioned on the corner of the cross roads near Barclay bank.
We now hope from small acorns.........
By all accounts the lights were well received by Business, residents & shoppers over the Xmas period and they would like to see a larger display for 2001.
Here lays the problem. The money for the 2000 lights was raised by Business & local resident associations contributing & sponsoring to the tune of almost £3000 so,to enhance the display this coming Xmas we will need more donations & sponsorship. If you can pledge help financially by sponsoring a part of a light, a whole light or a number of lights we would like to hear from you ASAP.
We take this opportunity to thank all our year 2000 sponsors and contributors for their fantastic financial help and hope they will see the way clear to sponsor for 2001.
We thank the Oxford Mail for giving us good coverage and hope they too will be supportive this year.

This site is about to be developed with a resume of the HBA's successes and the minutes of our meeting will be put up for purusal.
We are much in need of ALL the local business's being members!! So, if you are reading this and you are not a member the cost is £25 PA. Please!
Happy & Prosperous New Year to All.
