The Group was formed nearly sixty years ago and its main objective is to perform plays for the local community in the village hall; we put on productions twice a year, in April and November. We also enter plays for the county drama festivals, and run children's workshops for the local community
We meet every week in the Southmoor and Kingston Bagpuize Village Hall. On most Tuesdays of the year, our 'Club Nights', we are in the main hall and have use of the stage. We promise a warm welcome to anybody who comes along on these evenings - you don't have to be a member to attend. Come along and watch what is going on, and join us for a coffee. During the early spring and again in the autumn, these evenings include rehearsals of the current play.
We also hold many social events such as skittles evenings, barbecues, treasure hunts, quizzies and an annual dinner. We also have an away weekend each autumn.
Kingston Bagpuize Drama Group is a member of the Oxfordshire Drama Network and has entered many plays in its annual festival which is held in the Unicorn Theatre, Abingdon in June. KBDG has often hosted ODN workshops and the annual ODN quiz nights.
If you would like to act or help backstage, participate in workshops, or just want know more about the Group, then please phone the secretary on for more information.
