Kidlington's connection with George Washingto
Has anyone investigated Kidlington's connection with George Washington, first President of America, through the Mr Richard Washington, gent from Gosford? Richard Washington maintained a school in Gosford and he died 1670. A number of his descendent were born in the parish. Richard appears to have been a descendent of Thomas Washington of Sulgrave born about 1577. Thomas was the brother of a Lawrence Washington, who descendent went to America and from whom George Washington is descendent from. I've been looking at this link but haven't as yet been able to connect the Richard Washing's ancestor, Thomas Washington, with the Thomas Washington from Sulgrave who would have been born about the same time. Has anyone else look at this connection and made the link?

Thanks.

Andrew
