About the Society
The Society was founded in 1971 with the object of promoting an interest in local history, architecture and archaeology and to research, compile and publish local historical records.
With a membership of over 60, the Society meets on the last Tuesday of each month at 7.50pm. in the St.John Ambulance House High Street, Kidlington. The programme of speakers covers a wide range of interests and the quarterly members' newsletter includes a precis of each of the talks.
Visits are included in the programme, a whole day visit in early summer and a local evening visit in July. Members also enjoy an annual Dinner with a guest speaker.
Details of the Society's extensive list of publications, which reflects many years of research by its members into different aspects of Kidlington's history, can be found on the Publications for Sale page. |
