Classical Music in St Peter's Church, Wallingford
Music at St Peter's is a series of concerts of classical chamber and choral music, given on Saturday evenings between May and September by professional musicians in the eighteenth-century church of St Peter in Wallingford. The acoustics are excellent, and the concerts regularly receive enthusiastic reviews in the Oxford Times.

Music-lovers come from all over the region to the concerts. Details of the 2009 season (the 24th) are now available on the website and in the calendar .
The 2009 season presents a wide range of music and composers, including some of the great mainstream works of the chamber music repertoire, and some less well-known music. Amongst the former are the Piano Quintet of Brahms, and two of Schubert's finest works, the Rosamunde String Quartet and the Trout Piano Quintet. On September 11th and 12th the Sacconi String Quartet perform half of Beethoven's String Quartets in three concerts - the cycle will be completed in 2010. Haydn features several times in the season with quartets, piano music and a dramatic cantata marking his bi-centenary, and the season ends with a Handel Celebration concert of concertos and Chandos Anthems.
Tickets are £12 on the door or £10 in advance. Season tickets for all concerts are also available.

Through the generosity of the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust, we offer free tickets to children and students in full-time education between the ages of 8 and 22.
