Dave Jones Knockout Competition

Dave Jones was an avid pool player in Oxon, playing Superleague and League for many years and was known by pretty much everyone who played. Dave tragically died in a car accident in 1993 whilst on his way home from a pool match near Witney. His son Ricky and son-in-law Grayson Fisher who were in the car at the time of the accident, continue to play pool regularly and do very well! His daughter Chris, has been helping to run Oxon County Pool since 1994. Dave's twin brother, Doug, donated two amazing silver cups for the event, which have been battled for ever since...

The 2008 Dave Jones Memorial will be held on Sunday 30th November 2008 at Witney Snooker Club, Eagle Industrial Estate, Witney. OX28 4YR.

11:30 for a prompt 12 noon start.

Open to Oxfordshire EPA registered players or any players residing in Oxfordshire.
Proof may be required.

Non-Registered players Ł7 entry

The 2007 Dave Jones Memorial Cup was held on the 14th October 2007, at the Oracle, Abingdon.

This years winner was Kev McIlroy who beat Bobby Hines in the final.

Rob Holt won the plate event, which was a bottle of Southern Comfort kindly donated by Pom at the Oracle.
