FRIENDS OF LUNCHTIME RECITALS 2008Please help support this season of Lunchtime Recitals by becoming a ‘Friend’Lunchtime Recitals began in February 2000. They are grant aided by West Oxfordshire District Council, High St. Methodist Church and the Friends of Lunchtime Recitals. The recitals take place on Thursdays at 1.30pm, and each lasts for an hour. Our aim is to provide an admission free concert series to which everyone is welcome and to present the less well known repertoire along with the best of the classical favourites. The recitals have been described as ‘a unique extension to Witney’s cultural services’.
Becoming a ‘Friend’ enables us to have closer contact with our audience and ensures the future for this season of Lunchtime Recitals at a time when council grants are under great pressure. Planning for the 2008 season of eight Lunchtime Recitals is well under way, but grants are always under pressure. Our only other source of income is programme sales, so we are asking you to give some security to our plans by donating
