As it says an opera in an hour!
The performances are semi-staged, sung in English and successfully cut a long story short.
Their length allows the production to be combined with social events, for example, fundraising or supper.
"Hansel & Gretel" by Humperdinck has beautiful and often familiar music & a story which is appealing to all ages. In this production we enlist the help of children in the audience to provide a gingerbread hedge which comes alive when freed from the witch's spell. This is great entertainment, suitable for all age groups and an introduction to opera for children.
Another production by the "One Hour Opera Crowd" is "Low Fat Figaro", which captures the magic of Mozart's marvellous music and comically confusing plot all in one hour. |  |
