What happens ?
During the local League season, there will often be one or more matches played against other clubs. In an adjoining room, other players will usually be playing 'friendly', i.e. non-match games, with or without clocks. On evenings when no League match is scheduled, there are occasional Wine and Cheese and Quickplay events of a more social nature, with the chess on a time-handicap basis, most games taking around 10 minutes to complete.
And there is a public house next door !
