Sunday 31: Boundary Brook Nature Park: work party between 10am and 1pm. Refreshments provided.
APRIL
Sunday Sunday 6: Spring Open Day at Boundary Brook Nature Park 2pm - 5 pm. See spring flowers, tadpoles in the pond, and possibly early butterflies. Guided walks, stalls with plants to attract wildlife to your garden this year, booklets about wildlife. Children under 14 to be accompanied by an adult. Wheelchair access, admission free.
Tuesday 8: A Taste of Permaculture Phil Pritchard Permaculture is a design system working with nature to make a better world for all. By implementing the concepts and theory behind permaculture we can live sustainably improving the quality and productivity of our individual lives, our society and protect or even enhance our natural environment. Phil's talk about Permaculture will be followed by a break for refreshments before taking part in some activities related to his talk. Science Oxford 7-9pm.

Sunday 20: Snake’s-head Fritillaries survey at Osney/Hinksey led by Camilla Lambrick, of RPG 2 pm, at Osney Mead (North Hinksey meadow), a traditional hay meadow which is off the Botley Road and owned by the Oxford Preservation Trust, Map Ref: SP 494057. Meet on the south side of Botley Road at SP 491063 where a path goes south to North Hinksey Meadow at 1.30pm. Recommended parking is at Seacourt Park and Ride just off Botley Interchange on north side of Botley Road. Contact Imogen Morris on (01235) 554608 for more details. There is a small charge of £2 for non-members. This is a joint trip with the Ashmolean Natural History Society of Oxford.

Thursday 15: Cripley Island Survey.Meet in the car park at the Port Meadow end of Walton Well Road at 6.30pm.
Sunday 18: Holywell Cemetery Open Day, 2-4pm. Enjoy guided walks of the cemetery to look at wildlife, see some of the graves of interest and hear about the history. St Cross church will be open for teas and Holywell Manor gardens (next door) from 2-5 pm. The cemetery is behind St Cross Church in St Cross Road, Oxford.
Monday 19: OUWG Annual General Meeting at Gladiator Club - corner of Iffley Rd and Percy St. 7.15pm.
Saturday 24: “Green Lung” celebration in Ss Mary & John churchyard, Cowley Rd, with an OUWG stall 3-5pm.
Sunday 25: Boundary Brook Nature Park: work party between 10am and 1pm. Refreshments provided.
Saturday 31: Walk through Warneford Meadow meeting at the Hilltop End entrance to the Meadow at 10.30am, next to Jack Howarth House. About 1-1½ hours.
JUNE
Sunday 1: Boundary Brook Nature Park Early Summer Open Day, 2-5pm Visit the reserve to see the early summer flowers and butterflies. There will be pond-dipping, guided walks, plant and book stalls (other details as April 6th)
Sunday 8: Boundary Brook Nature Park: work party between 10am and 1pm. Refreshments provided.
Monday 9: Long Bridges bathing site Survey. Meet on Donnington Bridge at 6.30pm.
Wednesday 11: OUWG Boundary Brook meeting. On site at Boundary Brook at 6.30pm.
Saturday 21: Oxfordshire Goes Wild. 12-4pm University Museum OUWG stall plus Dave Endacott's rescued bats will be there, as will Rod's rescued owls and there may have hawk flying on the lawn outside.
Sunday 22: A Wildlife Walk from central Oxford to the Treacle Well at Binsey 11am-3pm Meet outside Said Business School (beside Oxford Station). A 4-mile circular walk via Isis Lock, Oxford Canal, Port Meadow and Binsey church to look at the treacle well. Return to start by Thames towpath to Osney bridge. Bring a snack. Flat walking, no stiles etc.

Regular fortnightly work parties at Boundary Brook Nature Park as well as on many weekdays. Come and help Oxford Urban Wildlife Group to manage this thriving and expanding nature park which now has SLINC status. You can choose your task from a variety of jobs. A warm welcome guaranteed.
