Open Theme Evening and Mini-Workshop
Many newcomers enjoyed this February 2008 meeting at the Town Hall.

'Wind and Water'
The theme for the Town Hall meeting on Tuesday September 11th was chosen by Dr Ben Murphy.
Ben, a former President of the Society, now resident in Panama, entertained us with an intriguing story of his own composition during his flying visit to Oxford to present a paper at a University conference.

Tales of the Supernatural
Thirteen people sat around the table of the Panel Room in Oxford Town Hall to relate gruesome ghost stories on the eve of Hallowe'en. |
Winter's Tales
A great variety of stories - traditional and personal - plus some poetry were heard on this theme at a lively meeting at the Town Hall on 13 November. |

The Well at the World's End
As part of the Oxford International Women's Festival, whose theme was 'Women's Journeys', Marguerite Osborne (storyteller) and Steph West (folksinger, Celtic harpist) presented traditional and topical tales and songs describing women’s odysseys.
The event, which was well attended and enthusiastically received, took place at the Friends' Meeting House, St Giles, Oxford on Thursday 13 March.
