WELCOME TO THE HOME PAGE OF RADLEY RETIREMENT GROUP
The aims of the Radley Retirement Group are to provide a variety of speakers at the meetings and to organise outings and entertainment for the members. Membership is open to all persons over the age of 50 and retired from full-time employment residing within the ecclesiastical parish of Radley (some non-Radley members who joined in the early days before this boundary was imposed have received a dispensation for continued membership).
The annual subscription at present stands at £5 and members pay a 50 pence entry fee to meetings.
The Committee consists of a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Social Secretary ("the Officers") and up to eight other members. The Chairman holds office for up to three years and after retiring cannot stand for re-election for a further two years. Committee members, other than Officers, serve for up to four years, at least two members retiring every year. Elections take place at the Annual General Meeting held in March.
The membership in June 2010 was 113 persons. Over the last year the average attendance at the monthly meetings has been 69.
The Group's Logo was designed in September 1993 by Mr. Clive Rickett, the son of one of our members.
