APRIL-MAY 2013

RADLEY RETIREMENT GROUP
JUNE 2013

At our meeting in May Dr. Tom Jones talked to us about “Medical Notes and Notable Medics” which gave us all an interesting insight into the many connections between the practice of medicine and some of our greatest composers.

Our next outings are to:

•Newbury races – Tuesday 25 June, price for members £30 (non-members £32) There are still places on this trips.

•River trip from Maidenhead – Tuesday 16 July, price for members £32 (non-members £34). We start with a round trip (2 ½ hours) and then after a ploughman’s lunch the coach takes us from Maidenhead to Henley for the afternoon. This trip is booking up very quickly.

Our next holiday is to Ilfracombe, 25-29 November 2013: There are still vacant rooms on the festive break to Ilfracombe in November, which is open to members and non-members.

The next meeting is on Tuesday, 11 June W.P. King will talk to us about “The River at War”. The meeting starts at 2 p.m. and doors open at the Village Hall at 1.30 p.m.
