Plater College has now closed
Plater College was a Catholic Adult Residential College at Pullens Lane, Headington, Oxford, OX3 0DT. It has now closed and its work has moved elsewhere.
as the Catholic Workers’ College. Its aim was, and still is, to provide a second chance for people with few qualifications and of any age to return to full-time education against a background of the social teaching of the Church.

More background...
In 1965 its name was changed to Plater College after Fr Charles Dominic Plater SJ who was the inspiration for its foundation. He saw that industrialisation had brought great benefits to society, but also a number of grave social problems. Since these affected working people more than anyone else, he believed that it was right that they should be equipped to take an active and leading part in the work of social reform.
