WRITERS GROUP FOR SCRIPT WRITERS AND AUTHORS

The Typeset has been running since April 2006, and we now have an active list of members covering a variety of genres. Some of the members have had work published or produced, and some are just beginning to take the first tentative steps into the world of writing and how to get published/produced.

We meet every 1st and 3rd Tuesday in the month, for informal chat, readings and lively discussions about writing. Topics covered range from script writing, the ins and outsand how to start. Poetry and prose, and novel writing, fact or fiction.

Two of the most important things in wrting are feedback and motivation, this is something that you are sure to get in a writing group, after each meeting you'll leave refreshed and ready to get bashing away at the keyboard.

For 2007 we plan to invite guest speakers and hold workshops, dates for these will be listed in a monthly e sheet. If you would like to be put on the mailing list for this, please forward your detials to us.

We also hold occasional social outings, some with a writing theme, some not, you are welcome to come and join us, where you will get to meet other members, if your shy or nervous then you are more than welcome to bring along a friend, or give me call and I'll meet you at the door.

Meeting are held at the Rose revived, Newbridge. OX29 7QD. In the summer it's a great place to meet as we can sit outside by the river, and in the winter it's warm and friendly with plenty of space and cosy corners. Outside there is masses of parking space.
