Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I'm in a wheelchair, can I still join?
     Yes but if you need help getting to and in the dressing rooms you should bring a helper with you.  We will help you into the water.
Q. Do I need a doctor's certificate to say I can go into the water?
     Yes, we supply a form for your doctor to sign when you apply to join.
Q. Where and when do you swim?
     We swim at Temple Cowley Pool on Tuesday evenings between 6 & 7pm, and at Ferry Community Centre on Saturday mornings between 10am and 12 noon.
Q. Do we share the pool with the public during our sessions?
     On Tuesday evenings we have 3 lanes to ourselves.  On Saturday mornings we have the pool to ourselves
Q. How do I join?
     Send an E - mail to swansswimmingclub@oxford.communigate.co.uk                 giving your name, age and postal address. 
Q. Why do you need to know my age?
     Because if you are 18 or over we have to ask you to fill in a Vulnerable Persons Protection Form, which we will send you when you apply.
Q. If I want to be a Helper or Instructor do I still contact John Partridge?
     Yes
