May Evening of Entertainment
LGA and Village Players join forces again: members, be an audience and have a good time on 31 May.
The Village Players have once again entered a play for the ODN festival to be held in Abingdon during the week beginning 1st June. For those unable to get to Abingdon to see the entry, the Launton Gavray Association and the Village Players have once again joined forces to present an Evening of Entertainment on Saturday 31st May in the Launton Parish Hall.
Doors open at 7.30 pm - curtain up at 8.00 pm.
The evening will begin with the ODN entry, a new play called “Players” written and directed by Nikki Fine. The play is followed by an interval for some food. Then entertainment continues with the Launtones – a band formed by some Village Players members - playing for the rest of the evening, so hopefully some of you will get up and dance!
Tickets are £6 which includes a welcome drink as you arrive (but bring your own main drink for the evening) and a "bread and cheese and stuff" menu at the interval. Coffee and biscuits will also be served after the performances: make sure you stay around for that.
As well as this being a great evening's entertainment, we give The Players cast the chance to have a live performance with an audience before they have to do the real thing in Abingdon. And, who knows, we could be watching one of the commended performances and the beginning of an exciting new playwriting talent. |
