Directions to Witney Photo Group and Car Parking

Witney Photo Group meet in the Gallery Room (first floor) of the Corn Exchange, Market Square, Witney, OX28 6AB. Meetings start at 7.30pm.

Unattended parking is not allowed in Market Square in which the Corn Exchange is located. Unloading of equipment is allowed by entering Market Square by the entrance through bollards opposite the Butter Cross Monument in Langdale Gate. Approach Witney from A40 east - From Oxford. Take slip road on A40 signposted Witney. Arrive at 30mph limit in Oxford Hill and go straight on at traffic lights. Enter Newlands and in half mile arrive at first element of a double mini roundabout; turn left (first exit) and straight on (first exit) into Bridge Street. At next roundabout bear left (first exit). In 100 metres turn left at traffic lights into Witan Way. In quarter of a mile see pedestrian crossing traffic lights; take first right after these lights, then first left into car park. Approach Witney from A40 west from Burford. Take the slip road on A40 signposted Witney. At bottom of slip road turn left into Ducklington Lane and move into right hand lane. At traffic lights turn right into Station Lane leaving the Tesco garage on your left. Travel half mile to mini roundabout: bear right (second exit) into Witan Way. At next mini roundabout go straight on (second exit). In 50 metres turn left, before the pedestrian crossing traffic lights, turn left again into car park. See From Car Park below.

Approach Witney from A 415 south - from Standlake/Abingdon. Enter the 30mph limit: at next roundabout go straight on (second exit) into Ducklington Lane. Travel 100 metres beyond the bridge under A40; move into the right hand lane. At traffic lights turn right into Station Lane leaving the Tesco garage on your left. Travel half mile to mini roundabout: bear right (second exit) into Witan Way. At next mini roundabout go straight on (second exit). In 50 metres turn left, before the pedestrian crossing traffic lights, turn left again into car park. See From Car Park below.

Approach Witney from A4095 east - from Long Hanborough/Bladon. Enter 30mph limit and come to Woodstock Road and as you pass Wood Green Hill (church and green on right) drive down the slope to arrive at first element of a double mini roundabout. Go straight on (second exit) and straight on (first exit) into Bridge Street. At next roundabout bear left (first exit). In 100 metres turn left at traffic lights into Witan Way. In quarter of a mile see pedestrian crossing traffic lights; take first right after these lights, then first left into car park. See From Car Park below

Approach Corn Exchange by Sat Nav (OX28 6AB). Arriving in High Street/Market Square. Market Square is opposite to Marlborough Hotel and Barclays Bank. Leaving the Marlborough on your right, travel 100 metres and turn left (first exit) at mini roundabout into Langdale Gate, (see the Butter Cross monument with clock on your right). Travel 300 metres to roundabout and turn left (first exit) into Witan Way, turn left again before pedestrian crossing traffic lights, turn left again into car park. See From Car Park below.


From Car Park. This car park is free; 3 hour parking limit is only enforced between 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Saturday. At town end of car park walk under archway between Blockbusters and Nortens Bar for 200 metres and arrive in Market Square. Turn right and in 20 metres enter Corn Exchange blue doors. Take the stairs on the right to the first floor, at top of stairs Gallery Room is on left.
