In Memory of "Pip" Taylor

This plaque was presented to the school governors by Mrs. Constance Taylor in memory of her husband "Pip" Taylor, headmaster of Malton Grammar School 1951-1971. He died during the summer holidays of 1971, never to see the fruit of his efforts in forming Malton School through the unification of the Grammar and County Modern schools.

The plaque now hangs in the "History Library" of Malton School
Note the mouse on the frame, the famous symbol of Robert "Mousey" Thompson, furniture maker and woodcarver from Kilburn, near Thirsk
