School Reports (MGS)
 | MGS Reports were issued on a half-yearly basis in February and July. They had to be signed by a parent and the original was left in the book, the copy being put into the school archives. Some books had a dark blue spine, others light blue (clear) but I have no idea if this had a meaning. It was certainly not gender related as both examples above are from boys. |

Headmaster's Comments
 | Each report was rounded off with comments by both the Form Master as well as the Headmaster. For some these remarks were the final nail in the coffin. One year my parents refused to sign the report as they did not agree with the Headmasters remarks.
The above extract from the 3rd Form has been donated by Dave Preston. I really wonder what happened in Chemistry Dave? |

School Reports (MS)
 | I cannot remember if the reports continued to be issued on a half-yearly basis after the school went comprehensive but certainly at the end of the school year. In the first year of Malton School the reports were loose sheets with a similar layout to the MGS Reports but whether they were once again in books after that I do not know.
I have removed the identity from this sample, but it is not mine! |
