Nainotlam & Incomprehensible
 | Issue No 1 Note the price of 3d, 1.25p in modern currency!
I have scanned interesting extracts from the infamous school newspaper "Nainotlam" which was launched in December 1966. The final issue was published in July 1971 in the last days of MGS. Following the merge of MGS and MCM in September 1971 a follow-up newspaper "Incomprehensible" was launched but did not survive beyond 3 issues.
The Nainotlams were bound into 5 volumes, one for each school year. I was fortunate in being able trace one of the 2 known complete sets of Nainotlams and copies of the 3 Incomprehensibles through the local press. I was given these on loan during my visit to the UK in Dec 2001.
Click the volume links below to read all about what we were getting up to during our days at MGS/MS and many a memory will be jogged I am sure! |
|
Nainotlam Volume 1
 | December 1966 to July 1967 As we were still at Junior School during this period there are few articles of specific interest to us. However, as several 1966 Entry pupils joined our year for one reason or another I have picked out articles of possible interest to them.
This volume is available in the School Library Maltonian Section |
|
Nainotlam Volume 2
 | September 1967 to July 1968 Our first year at MGS |
|
Nainotlam Volume 3
 | September 1968 to July 1969 Our second year at MGS. We were no longer the "babies" now and were nicely settled into the routine of senior school life. Romances were developing as you will read in som of the extracts! |
|
Nainotlam Volume 4
 | September 1979 to July 1970 Our third year at MGS!
"We Be 3B We Be" |
|
Nainotlam Volume 5
 | September 1970 to July 1971 Our fourth and final year at MGS! We would return to a new school in September 1971.
This was also the final year for the Nainotlam. |
