Roll of Honour 2003-2004
Old Malton St Marys F.C. held their annual presentation night in front of a packed clubhouse on Saturday evening. Although the club was unable to win any silverware, the season was seen as a reasonable success. The first team finished the season on a high as they charged up the league after an indifferent start to finish 4th. The Reserve team managed to avoid relegation and finally finished a creditable 5th. Unfortunatley the Third team were relegated into the 2nd Division of the Ryedale Beckett League. With great plans on the playing front for next next season, everyone was looking forward to pre-season with great anticipation. The team managers presented the individual awards as follows. First team player of the year Dean Readman, runner-up Paul Scaling, leading goalscorers Dave Bradshaw and Phil Hill. Reserve team player of the year Danny Bulmer, runner-up Keith Davies, leading goalscorer Carl Sawdon. Third team player of the year Glyn Brown, runner up Stuart Gordon, leading goalscorer Lee Rudd. An award was made to outgoing Secretary Les Swift who was presented with a Manchester United shirt and a bottle of Malt Whisky, in recognition of his hard work and committment during the last 12 years. |
