Youth groups come together for a friendly five a side football tournament

An inter club five a side football tournament organised by Ryedale's Child & Youth Projects, through the Forum for Voluntary child and youth groups, was held at the Ryedale Leisure Centre on 2nd July. Five teams entered and the FEFP Boys Team from Kirkbymoorside won the tournament by a one goal difference with Sinnington Youth Club hot on their heels, followed by the Scouts. The FEFP Girls Team stood their ground as they played each of the other four teams, and to ensure that no one got away without some exercise the evening finished with the mixed subs team vs the girls and the Parent/Helper/Club Leaders 'The olidies' vs the winners, the oldies were beaten by the youngsters energy and enthusiasm, whilst the Scouts refereed. Eveyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening and are looking forward to the next five a side tournament. Any voluntary child/youth group leaders wishing to join the forum can contact Jennie Brown on 01751 473079.

Youngsters from the FEFP Club visit the Youth Arts Festival at Tadcaster Grammar School

A number of members visited the Youth Arts Festival at Tadcaster Grammar School on 29th June. Great fun was had by all - the club members partitipated in DJ mixing; DJ Scratching; Breakdancing; Grafetti Art; Funky Phatbeat workshop; Face Paintining; Inflatable sumo wrestling; and watched live bands on stage. Black umfolosi took centre stage and provided great entertainment whilst groups relaxed in the scorching summer sun!
