OUR VERY DIFFERENT CHRISTMAS TREE
 | For our contribution to the 2007 Pickering Parish Church Christmas Tree Festival we decided to create a themed tree which would feature 23 highly endangered and 2 extinct species of freshwater fish.
Mr. David Marshall researched the 25 fish species we decided to use and produced a small information sheet for each one. Next permission was gained, from several photographers, for use of some beautiful photographs to go with the information sheets. Our 'good friend' Mrs. Sue Kenworthy of the Otley A.S. then put the information sheets and photographs together to form the lovely ornaments which adorn our tree.
Thank you to Mrs. Ann Grayson, Sarah, Molly, Miss Sue Marshall and David who all gave their time to decorate the tree and to Sue Kenworthy for continued friendship.
The Festival will be open to the public, 10.00a.m. to 4.00p.m., from Monday 10th to Saturday 16th January. Well done to all our fellow tree contributors for their beautiful displays.
