Helping Paws to the Rescue
 | | Poor little Elsie, she was in such a disgusting state - it is a good job that Helping Paws have offered their services free of charge as this is the second dog in less than a week that has needed a "makeover". |

Matted, smelly and just had pups.
 | | Poor little Elsie - we think that she has recently had puppies and by the looks of her the afterbirth has not been cleaned away and was left matted to her legs and tail. We dread to think where she had her puppies or what happended to them. |

Halfway stage
 | We cannot think about what has happened but must look forward and our priority was to get Elsie into a clean and healthy state.
Angie from Helping Paws came to the rescue and agreed to give her a "tidy up".
I helped hold Elsie while Angie clipped and cut her coat- she really smelt and what came away from her tail and bottom was just so disgusting we had to open the window to let in some fresh air.
Poor Elsie, I think she knew we were trying to help her as we must have hurt her a few times while trying to de-tangle her and cut out the clumps of goodness knows what. Elsie stood still for us and trusted us completely.
Even half way through and she started to look pretty.
