 | Just look at Carla now with her new owner Sammy- what a difference!!!
Carla is set to lead a new life in America with her fantastic new family.
We send Carla and her family our best wishes for the future and thank her family for giving Carla such a loving home.

TIME TO LEAVE FOR AMERICA!
 | | Carla made the journey from Pickering by specially chartered taxi to Manchester airport on 23rd November 2006 and flew to Frankfurt in Germany where she stayed overnight in a massive transit area for animlas that are in international movement. She was checked before the flight to Frankfurt and also when she arrived in Frankfurt, and found to be healthy and fit, she was walked and placed in her hotel kennel for the night. |

HER ADVENTURE CONTINUES!
The next day Carla had a light breakfast of dry food and water, she was checked by a vet and was registered fit to fly, and she boarded her KLM flight at 10.30am on 24th November, she flew for 9 and a half hours across the atlantic and she arrived at Washington DC's International Airport Dulles International.. around 3.30pm local time.
Carla was impounded awaiting collection and immigration status and was collected and given her immigration status at 5.00pm local time after being checked by the airport vet.

HER NEW LIFE HAS STARTED
 | Her new life started after a short drive to Rockville MD, some 35 minutes north west of central Washington DC, and she had her first hearty American meal of steak and scrambled egg at around 8.00pm.

EXCITING TIMES
Carla is finding her new life both challenging and exciting, she loves her long walks and the wildlife while new to her is proving by far to be the most exciting times, there are an abundance of both brown and black squirrels and she wants one desperately!!
She loves the chipmunks which live in the garden and always wants to dig up the entire garden just to get one of her vey own.
There are also wild deer that walk up from the forest and around 4.30pm every night she can smell them and wants one!!

SAFE AND SOUND
 | The entire family love Carla, especially the children and she is loved each and every moment of the day by someone, large or small. She has her own blanket and lead for the car and she travels regularly to go shopping at the Malls. She still has her moments with tall men in black or dark clothes but her family is aware of her personal issues and make sure she is never stressed by visitors.
Carla receives the best love, care and food.... especially the BBQs!!!! The dropped steaks and sausages are a particluar favourite and she is also partial to the odd corndogs!!

Carla's young owner Sammy has promised to send more updates of Carla's new life.
Look out for her adventures in the lakes and cabin during the spring and summer months when she will be taught how to swim and catch fish the doggy way!!
