The players and members of Sheriff Hutton Bridge CC, winners of the National village competition 2005 would like to welcome you to SHBCC’s official website. We hope that you have fun and enjoy viewing the site.
The Club House and Cricket Field are located in a delightful setting beside the river Foss on the edge of the picturesque Howardian Hills. Cricket has been played on this site for over 50 years. From very small beginnings with one team, the club has developed into one of the York & District Senior Cricket Leagues leading clubs, with a reputation for producing one of the best playing surfaces in the League.
The Club run 2 Senior teams in the York & district Senior Cricket League, 3 Junior teams in the York & District Junior League and 1 team in the Pilmoor Evening League.
Senior Teams: 1st X1: York & District Senior League Division 1.
2nd X1: York & District Senior League 3rd Division.
1st & 2nd team matches are played on Saturday afternoon
Pilmoor Evening League: 1st Division: Wednesday evenings.
Junior Teams: U15: York & District Junior League: Monday evenings.
U13: York & District Junior League: Sunday mornings.
U11/U9: York & District Junior league: Tuesdays or Fridays.
We also enter the npower village cup and the League cup. These matches are usually played on Sunday afternoon.
Club training/coaching night is Thursday: 6.30pm to 8.00pm.
New playing or non-playing members are always welcome at Sheriff Hutton Bridge Cricket Club. If you are interested in joining us, or if your youngster is keen to play cricket, please give us a ring, or call to see us on match days or training nights.
