The League of Friends of Malton and Norton District Hospital
The League of Friends of Malton and Norton District Hospital.
The League OF Friends of Malton and Norton District Hospital had been successfully operating since 1977 for the benefit of the hospital patients and staff.
Our aims are:
To Educate the public in the needs of patients
To Encourage interest in the work of the hospital
To Raise funds for the hospital
To Supplement the service provided by the hospital for the welfare of patients treated there also by the provision of facilites
To Releive distressed and needy patients and where necessary their families
To Recruit voluntary workers when needed
The league have pledged
The Charity Shop Celebrates 15 Years this year since it was opened in 1992 . The Shop is Managed by a dedicated Team of paid and voluntary staff which help with the day to day running of the shop .
The Shop is well supported by the local People of Malton and the surrounding areas who donate goods for us to sell to raise funds for Malton Hospital we get items of bric-a-brac books and clothing.
We would just like to say a really Big Thankyou to everyone who has supported us over the years and continue there loyal support.

The League of Friends Garden Fete 2007
The League of Friends of Malton& Norton District Hopsital Held there Garden Fete on Sunday The 2nd September At The Old Lodge Hotel , Old Malton
The Garden Fete Was opened by Lady Storey the President of the Charity and with the help of The Local Town Crier The afternoon was a great success well supported by the local community and surrounding areas. The old Lodge Hotel were doing refreshments of Cream Teas and we had lovely music played throughout the Afternoon by Simply Brass a band from Scarborough who kept us pleasently entertained throughout the Afternoon.
There were numnerous Stalls ie tombola raffle cake stalls plants stalls also numerous kids stall face painting bran tub and a bouncy castle to keep the hids entertained .the weather was very kind to use was couldy but the rain seem to hold off to make it a very successfull and very enjoyable afternoon
The stalls were manned by Members of The League of Friends and also Volunteers from The Hopsital Chairty Shop and some Staff from Malton Hospital.
The Garden Fete at the end of the day raised a staggering £1,400 and was a fantastic afternoon had by all who came along and supported us.

League of Friends Annual General Meeting 2008
League of Friends of Malton, Norton & District Hospital are Holding there Annual General Meeting on the Wednesday 1st october 2008.
The Meeting to be held on ryedale ward sitting room@7.30pm light buffet and refreshments will be served after the meeting.
We have 2 Guest speakers on the evening. Mrs sue brown Adult services manager and also Linda mcdonagh virtual ward team leader
