Please take time to read the following, but the most important thing to remember is that wherever you park your vehicles and wherever you walk with the Aviv Walkers you are not covered by any type of insurance and neither the walk designer, walk leader, Aviv Walkers or the Brighton & Hove Hebrew Congregation will be held responsible for any type of accident, loss, theft, etc. It is therefore the responsibilty of each person to ensure they have sufficient personal insurance before setting out on any of our activities.

The information on this web site, or any other Group publication is strictly afforded in good faith and is deemed to be correct at the time of publication.
The Group, Writer and any other contributors to the group web site or other Group publications accept no responsibility for any anomalies, errors, or omissions regarding the information given on the Group web site, or any other publication or information source the group deems fit and suitable to use
Advice to participants of any Group activity
All participants on any Group activity whatsoever are personally responsible to ensure that they have a suitable current insurance policy in place for cover during any group walk or activity, against all eventualities, including personal and third party damage, injury and loss etc.
All participants, on any Group walk or activity whatsoever are personally responsible for their own fitness, safety and welfare and must conduct themselves at all times, with the safety and welfare of themselves and others in mind.
All participants, on any Group walk or activity whatsoever must at all times during the walk or activity make themselves aware of all possible hazards, whether in town, urban areas or the countryside and act appropriately. Any known personal injury or deterioration of personal fitness must be reported immediately to the walk or activity leader. The walk or activity leader will then be able to make a final decision, regarding the appropriate course of action.
All participants, on any Group walk or activity whatsoever are personally responsible for carrying sufficient food and liquid refreshment to last for at least the duration of the walk or activity, and carry a first aid kit and adequate protective clothing, headgear and footwear, with unworn or spare items contained within a suitable shoulder bag.
Any personal medication must be carried, and the walk or activity leader notified accordingly, prior to the start of the walk or activity.
All participants, on any Group walk or activity whatsoever who require to be accompanied by their dog are personally responsible for notifying the walks or activity leader of their intention and must act according to the leaders decision on the matter.
Any dog brought on a Group walk or activity is the sole responsibility of the owner or the dog handler in the absence of the owner. The dog will be kept on a suitable lead at all times in restricted areas or whilst near livestock. The dog owner or handler will be held responsible for the behaviour of the animal in their charge making sure the dog is not a danger or nuisance to farm animals, wildlife or other people and that the necessary current insurance policies for the animal are in place.
All participants of any Group walk or activity whatsoever who are required to use a vehicle of any description to get to the start or finishing point of any walk or activity, must have sufficient insurance cover for the vehicle, vehicle passengers and the vehicle contents whether the vehicle is on the move, before or after the event or whilst the vehicle is left stationary in a private or public parking area or on the public highway whilst the walk or activity is on going.
All participants of any Group walk or activity whatsoever are obliged to take notice of this disclaimer and associated advice complying also with the contents of "The countryside rights of way act" May 2000, and "The countryside code" July 2004 and any subsequent amendments and additions contained therein. |
