Donations to Charities

We raise money for the charities that we support by organising fund raising events and street collections. We also receive donations and legacies from our supporters, for distribution to charities and projects. The Rotary Club of Brighton Charitable Trust is itself a Registered Charity (No. 803147), and all donations and legacies that it receives are free of Inheritance Tax. Please contact us if you wish to leave us a legacy in your will, or wish to make a lifetime gift. So far in the Rotary year starting July 2007, the Rotary Club of Brighton has forwarded a generous bequest of £3,200 from the Hilton Foundation to Brighton & Hove's Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital to purchase specially equipped trolleys for use in operating theatres and for emergencies. We have also participated actively in Rotary District 1250's Hike for Hospices which has already raised more than £30,000 to be split equally between the following Sussex hospices: The Martlets, Hove; St. Peter & St. James', Lewes; St. Barnabas', Worthing; St. Wilfrid's, Chichester.
