About The Royal British Legion
 | The Royal British Legion was formed in 1921 and is dedicated to caring for the men and women who have served in Britain's armed forces along with their dependants.
The Legion answers up to 300,000 calls for help each year and our work is expected to grow for the next 20 years as those who saw service in World War Two and the National Service Generation find they need help.
There has only been one year since 1945 when our armed forces have not been on active service (1968).
During this last half century, and more, over 12,000 (some sources quote 16,000) servicemen and women have been killed or injured.
Veterans from conflicts and operations who served in places such as Korea, Oman, Borneo, The Falklands, Malaya, Aden, The Gulf, Northern Ireland, Kosovo and Bosnia now also need our help.
Please help us to help them.

The Branch - Where is it and what is in it?
The Burgess Hill Branch was formed in 1925. It is a very active branch with over 1200 members from all ages and backgrounds. A large number of our members are ex-services but we also have a very good number of associate members.
The Branch is located in the centre of Burgess Hill in Cyprus Road - Just aim for the Cinema. A large pay and display car park is located at the rear of the RBL and Cinema. This is free after 18.00 hours.
Our telephone number is 01444-244216 (or 0044-1444-244216 from outside the UK).
The RBL Club offers snooker, pool, darts, sky t.v. There is, of course, a couple of bars and food is available from our Caterers.
A large function room is available to hire. This also has a fully equipped bar.
Coach parties are welcome (It is best to ring and confirm).
For more information on joining the RBL please ring us or visit the main RBL website from our links page.
To arrange a visit or hire the function room please ring the above number and ask for the Club Secretary. |
