Do you need assistance or advice
 | The Legion cares about those who have suffered injury or illness arising from military service. Every year we help many thousands of people to pursue claims and we are among the acknowledged experts in the War Disablement Pensions field.
Our benevolent work starts at branch level. If the branch cannot provide all the help themselves they will call in other Legion resources - financial assistance perhaps, or convalescent facilities for the sick, or a residential home for those who are elderly and unable to look after themselves.
Our Services and Welfare Committee are trained Case Workers with many years experience. They have managed to obtain a number of War Pensions, long and short term care as well as many other benefits for people in Burgess Hill.
They are also able to offer advice or can make sure you are put in touch with the right people. Please ring 01444-244216
Oh and you DO NOT have to be a Legion Member to receive our help. |

Can you help us to help those who need our help?
We always need more collectors at the time of Poppy Appeal Fortnight (late Octrober and early November).
If you can help collect around your road (even a few houses or flats) or help to staff a static point in one of the shops then please let us know.
You may prefer to give your time by giving lifts to people or visiting others in hospital.
Whatever you can go or give, no matter how large or small, we will be grateful and so will the people that you help.
You don't have to be a member to help. |
