WELCOME TO THE BRIGHTON YOUTH CENTRE

Brighton Youth Centre is a hub of activity aimed at all Young People in the 5 – 19 age group offering activities including skateboarding, youth club, 5 a side football, basketball, music production, cookery, archery, table tennis and dance sessions. The centre has a mix of paid and volunteer staff and accommodates many other projects who work with a wide range Young People including Young People with disabilities, young carers, young offenders, young parents and homeless young people.

Sign up for festival Design Team

B-Fest (Brighton Youth Arts Festival) will be running from May 25th- June 1st and will be an opportunity for young people locally, nationally and internationally to showcase their work during:

· Music gigs

· Live performances

· Exhibitions

FREE 4 day workshop

Working with consultants from Red Design you will create materials which will be used to promote B-Fest as part of a festival design team.

The workshops will take place at Brighton Youth Centre on 2nd-5th April 2013 from 10-5pm.

Workshops will include:

• Photographing and documenting events

• Setting up social media for the event

• Completing an Arts Award Accreditation

• Creating a website

• Developing interview techniques

• Learning how to write reviews

• Creating and editing short films

• Learn to use audio equipment
