Why Not Become a Friend of BYC
Have you a child that goes to BYC or did you go there when you were younger and still have fond memories of the Centre and the friends that you made there? Do you still wish you could put on those boxing gloves, leap around the table tennis table or work out on the multigym? Some of these activities have changed with the times, but our objects have not - see below. Perhaps you were on one of the Committees, a Youth Worker, Coach or other member of staff at BYC and would like to maintain or restore that link and by doing so help to continue the work of BYC in helping future generations of young people in Brighton and Hove. In fact, if you have come into contact with BYC in any way and would like to help us, but don't have time to commit personally, then being a friend of BYC is the perfect answer. Now there is no excuse! Brighton Youth Centre is a registered charity (No 1098557) and is a wholly independent, voluntary sector organisation, whose objects are to help, support and educate young people to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities within a strictly inter denominational and apolitical framework, so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society, providing wherever possible equality of opportunity regardless of sex, race, mental and physical disability or sexual orientation. HOW TO JOIN For a mere annual donation of £10 (which the Inland Revenue will increase to £12.82 at no extra cost to yourself if the attached Gift Aid declaration form is completed and returned) you will not only have the satisfaction of knowing you are assisting BYC in its work but will also:- - Receive priority invitations to BYC events, including the AGM! - Receive a newsletter updating you on the activities and personalities at BYC - Receive a Christmas card from us all! - Be invited to offer suggestions for fundraising and how to develop and improve our services to young people generally. All suggestions gratefully received! Becoming a friend of BYC is simplicity itself. Just download and complete the application form and Gift Aid declaration that can be found under page entitled Friends of BYC Application Form, and return it to BYC together with a cheque for £10, or more if you are able, made payable to Brighton Youth Centre.
